A wifi sprinkler controller could be rigged to do this. I've used https://rachio.com/ for a few years and it has worked well from anywhere on the planet. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Sprinkler run time suggestions
I would highly recommend getting a Rachio smart sprinkler controller. It will automatically adjust watering based on weather, sprinkler type, grass type, etc. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Finding Possible Rental Surveillance by Landlord
There is a rental we are moving into. I noticed in the garage, it appears to have an active internet modem. It also has a Rachio smart sprinkler system, so it might just be set up for that. But it also has a Ring Doorbell camera. Source: over 2 years ago
  • What’s your lawn watering routine?
If you don't already have a 'smart' controller for your system, I can't say enough good things about a Rachio controller. I think mine paid for itself after a year . . . It looks at the weather patterns and won't run if rain is in the forecast. During times like this, you can 'fine tune' so it runs more often. (I don't f with mine - it runs the same program all year). Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Suggestions for lawn watering schedule
You could definitely outsource this math to a smart sprinkler controller. I’m also in Massachusetts, 6b, and I use a Rachio - it’s done a very good job of scaling the water amount up as the weather has warmed up, and pulls the local weather data to run its calculations with.
